Look Good Feel Better offers free workshops for anyone undergoing treatment for any sort of cancer to better cope with the appearance-related side effects of cancer.

What We Do/Our Work:

Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side effects caused by cancer treatment. Women, men and teens participate in a practical workshop which covers skin care, make-up and head wear demonstrations, leaving them empowered and ready to face their cancer diagnosis with confidence. Each participant receives a Confidence Kit full of skincare and make-up products to use throughout the workshop and has access to advice from trained beauty advisors.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

“The very best part of the morning was coming home to the happy tears of my nine-year-old daughter who tearfully informed me that I was now ‘THE prettiest Mummy in the World’ – she had the biggest smile on her face. It wasn’t until then that I realised that it was the kind of smile that I hadn’t seen there in a very long time. I cannot thank you enough.
Who knew a morning of hair, make-up and nattering could lift your spirits in the way that it has lifted mine… and then rippled out to affect my family in a positive way too. In a sea of struggle and pain, Look Good…Feel Better has provided a little sheltered cove in the midst of our storm.” Linda, LGFB participant

“With your lovely products I must take better care of my skin and appearance. Thank you very much for making this beautiful gift available. I was feeling down and this gift has lifted my mood extremely.” Valerie, home-delivered Confidence Kit recipient

“As I face the imminent loss of my hair, for most of my life worn long and, so, such a visible and intrinsic part of my femininity, I now feel I can literally ‘put on my happy face’ for the world. So armed, rather than be an object of pity (no hair, cancer victim, poor thing, so sad) with my new make-up, stylish wig and other glamorous head accessories, I can instead visually and powerfully proclaim my warrior stance in my battle against this most insidious disease.” Catherine, LGFB participant
