Meet Rosemary McKenzie from Samara Magazine, the website (you’re on right now!) for women business owners, entrepreneurs, start-ups and those aspiring.

About Me

Name: Rosemary McKenzie

Location: Moonee Valley, VIC

My expertise: I’ve many years experience in Business Development, Marketing and Public Relations across a number of industries in Australia, New Zealand and the U.K.

I admire… Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop. Anita was diminutive but she packed a punch where ever she went. She promoted Fair Trade with Third World Countries, was a great philanthropist, human rights activist and environmental campaigner.

What I love most about my business is… connecting and sharing with other business women around Australia.

If I could invite any three business people to coffee, I’d invite… Ita Buttrose as she is an amazing person, Sheryl Thai (Cupcake Central) who is a great young entrepreneur and Simon McKeon who is a great philanthropist, social entrepreneur, humanitarian and businessman. This combination would make for some lively conversation.

Develop a plan and work your plan everyday, be consistent and persistent.

What’s the best business advice you’ve been given? And by who? Surround yourself with like-minded people, and leave the nay sayers behind. A former boss.

The best business advice I can give is… Develop a plan and work your plan everyday, be consistent and persistent.
